This is a short review of a very long game – the new Tigers on the Hunt DLC which covers parts of the Battle of Kursk.
At first it doesn’t sound very big, after all it only covers three battles – Psel Bridgehead, Slaughter of Prokhorovka , and finally Bled White. But since these are each at least 3 day battles and each day is 12 turns, well you can see it all adds up.
They’ve changed the scale of the game from each turn being minutes to about 2 hours each. So there’s 8 turns of daylight and 4 night time turns. But inspite of this the game plays the same and so far – I haven’t gotten to any night turns yet – plays very well.
It’s great to see this game getting plugged into some historical situations and of course there’s few things larger or more important than the Battle of Kursk.
My video introduction is below as well as the first video of playing through the whole thing! A big undertaking but one that I’m enjoying. If you are at all into this kind of thing I highly recommend you pick up this little beauty. Just remember, this is an add on so you have to own Tigers on the Hunt for this to work.
